Accessibility

WA Museum Boola Bardip is wheelchair accessible. Multiple gender-neutral wheelchair accessible bathrooms are located throughout the building. The music will be dynamic and may have moments where it is very soft and sparse or loud and active. No alcohol will be served, but coffee and snacks will be available. The room is large and has a high ceiling, but no windows will be open to facilitate further ventilation. The room will be lit entirely by natural light from a large window behind the performers. A few dim, cool lights assist with visibility on walkways prior to the performance. Ushers can assist patrons to access the performance space from the ground floor if needed. For patrons who need a check-out space, comfortable seating is available throughout the museum around the corner from the performance, and also on the other floors (during the event time, the museum is open only to event ticket holders).

See our Accessibility page to make additional requests or inquiries. Tone List can book wheelchair taxis from WA Museum Boola Bardip to the next festival venue (Teeter Bakery) on request.

Details

In partnership with Tone List for the 2025 Audible Edge Festival, WA Museum Boola Bardip presents an experimental concert series set against the backdrop of the sunrise, perched in the highest reaches of our eastern terrace.

We invite you to start your day early, sit with a coffee and take a moment to reflect in peace while watching Boorloo’s east metropolitan area light up from the base of the hills to the steps of the Museum, scored by Jane Stark. Jane will excite the strings of an electric grand piano to sing using electronic sounds. As the sun rises higher and the sound world grows and evolves, she'll be joined by Josiah Padmanabham, who will interact with Jane's electronics by playing the piano itself. A new commission for the festival through the Audible Edge Seed Fund, this is a chance to see an exciting emerging musician explore new ideas in an incredible setting.

Level 3 terrace nook (indoors, warm and undercover) transforms into a serene performance space for the artist to take you on a journey over one and a half hours of sunrise.

This event is sponsored by Pound Coffee, who have made a custom filter coffee for Audible Edge which is available as a batch brew at the show.

Donate to the Audible Edge Seed Fund to support Jane's new work in the festival.
